Prominent Beta X Dosing Pumps

ProMinent beta/ X Diaphragm Metering Pump
Capacity: 10 mL/h – 50 L/h | 16 – 2 bar

The ProMinent beta/ X is the next-generation diaphragm metering pump built for precision, ease and digital control. With a wide flow range (10 mL/h to 50 L/h), integration-friendly mounting, and smart connectivity, it excels in demanding dosing tasks across water treatment, chemical processing, disinfection and more.

About liquid ends: The pumps offered as standard are fitted with PVDF liquid ends and PTFE seals. This is our most chemically compatible liquid end as PVDF is a higher grade plastic. For other versions such as PVM,, PET, PEP or SST please enquire as these may have longer lead times.

Description

Key Features & Benefits

  • Intuitive volume setting via click-wheel and clear display — simplifies operation and reduces setup time.
  • Digitally-controlled drive ensures continuous dosing with an adjustment range of up to 1:1000 — ideal for variable flow requirements.
  • Excellent suction/priming behaviour thanks to optimised dosing-head geometry (minimises air-lock risk) — increases process reliability.
  • Built-in Bluetooth & NFC connectivity — enables smartphone programming and data read-out for modern monitoring and integration.
  • Available in a PFAS-free variant — suits environmentally-sensitive installations and helps future-proof for regulatory compliance.
  • Robust design: IP66 / NEMA 4X protection, ambient temperature range -10 °C to +45 °C, and very good repeatability (±1 %) when installed correctly.
  • Versatile mounting: floor or wall installation via “click base” makes positioning simple.

Typical Applications

  • The beta/ X handles a wide variety of metering tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Disinfection dosing (chlorine, H₂O₂, ClO₂)
  • Biocide and antiscalant dosing for cooling towers and process water systems
  • Fresh-water and wastewater treatment plants
  • Industrial/chemical liquid metering across many sectors where precision and reliability are required

Technical Highlights

  • Flow range: 10 mL/h to 50 L/h; maximum back-pressure: approx. 16 bar → 2 bar depending on variant.
  • Adjustment ratio: up to 1 : 1000 — one pump covers many flow-requirements.
  • Repeatability: ±1 % under correct installation/conditions.
  • Power consumption: approx. 3.4 W to 16.5 W.
  • Materials in contact with medium: various options (PTFE diaphragm, PVDF, PE, stainless steel etc) to match chemical compatibility.

Why Choose This Pump?

If you’re looking for a metering pump that minimises “headaches” while giving you precision, digital flexibility and future-ready features, the beta/ X delivers. Whether you’re integrating with plant automation or simply want a reliable standalone dosing unit, this model offers strong value. The broad adjustment range means fewer variants and easier stocking. The PFAS-free option shows ProMinent’s awareness of evolving environmental expectations.

Important Notes for Users

  • Please check chemical compatibility of wetted parts for your medium. ProMinent offers multiple material options—ensure the correct diaphragm, seals and connections are specified.
  • For maximum accuracy and repeatability, the pump should be properly primed and installed according to manufacturer guidelines (especially to avoid air-locks).
  • If you’re using the digital connectivity features (Bluetooth/NFC), ensure your site allows the necessary access or integration.
  • Though wide in range, ensure you select the correct model variant for your max back-pressure and flow requirement.
  • The PFAS-free version is optional—if environmental compliance is a priority, make sure it is specified.
